I’ve had some questions lately about the different levels of albums we’re carrying for our Custom Designed albums, so I thought I’d post some of our recent albums so you can see the difference. Of course until you can actually hold them in your hands there are just some things that won’t be quite so apparent, so please feel free to come in to the studio if you’re local and I’ll happily go over “everything album” with you!

For those of you out of town, we have .pdf files of all of the cover choices and leather/finish options available, which will be sent to you upon approval of the album design to ensure that we are always providing you with the most current and up to date options available when YOUR album is in production!

The Sign In Book

The book is a medium size album that is custom designed using the 40 images of her choice. The manufacturer of the album is one of the best around and although they’re actually a new company on the scene this year, they are FANTASTIC and they have very unique, contemporary products and I absolutely LOVE them! I have the coolest box in the studio that is FULL of the coolest leather swatches you’ve every seen . . this company makes our job of giving our clients the most up to date, contemporary, cool and funky choices possible easy!

Here’s some pictures of Sarah’s Sign In book for her wedding. The images are from her engagement session . . .

Page counts, image counts and album dimensions vary will each level and each of the manufacturers we use.

On another note, we don’t farm out our album designs to third party people AT ALL. We think the photographer that shot the wedding is the only person that should design the album simply because whether it was Debra or Lindsey or Laura or Ryan that shot the lead for the wedding, that person will be the only person to truly have the FEEL for the relationship and the wedding day. To farm out our work to a “Graphic Designer” who never met or spent time with the Bride and Groom or family would be a complete disservice to our client, so we don’t do it!

Our turn around times on producing our albums has been fantastic!! We had one of our April brides pick her album images in less than 48 hours after we posted the wedding on the internet, and we had her album (an imported album) designed, proofed, revised, sent to production and delivered to her, along with both parent albums, her printed proofs, her enlargements and her custom designed thank you cards, in less than 4 months after her wedding. We’ve worked very, very hard on our turn around times this year!! We’ve had to make some changes in manufacturers to do it, and we’ve had to make some changes in how we handle the album designs and revisions to do it, but we did it and we’re SUPER proud of it!!!

THE SIGN IN BOOK!

Sooooo, I’m tired of seeing sign in books at weddings that are all the same. Nothing unique or personal about them . . could have been purchased at Office Depot . . . you know the one . . .

I decided to take about 40 images from Sarah’s engagement session and create a book for her guest to sign at her reception that would be unique and personal and beautiful and something that she could treasure forever.
